On Monday (16.01.2023) at 12.00 pm c.t. the next date of our Physics Colloquium will take place.
The speaker will be Prof. Dr. Andreas D. Wieck (RUB) on the Nobel Prize in Physics 2022: "Nobel Prize 2022 Goes Spooky - How the Fears of Einstein Revealed to Be Reality in the 21st Century: A Breakthrough in Quantum-Cryptography, -Transport and -Computation".
Entanglement between states yields after Einstein, Rosen and Podolsky to nonlocal phenomena which have been elucidated and applied by the Nobel laureates of Physics in 2022 John Clauser, Alain Aspect and Anton Zeilinger. This talk will explain the phenomena, starting with entanglement of electrons or photons from atomic systems by quantum optics and going towards realizations in solid state devices.
