On Wednesday 12/07/2013, all interested parties are invited to attend this year's poster session on the projects from the 2023 SOWAS internships.
In the SOWAS internship( self-organized scientific workin physics studies), RUB physics students have the opportunity to plan and carry out their internship experiments creatively and on their own initiative. In this way, theoretical content learned in the first semesters of study can be put into practice. Students work in groups to independently develop a scientific question on a topic of their choice and then investigate it experimentally. At the end of the experiment, the results are evaluated and presented.
This year the following projects were chosen:
- Determination of the compressibility of liquids using the Debye-Sears effect
- Characteristics of metal-semiconductor and semiconductor-semiconductor combinations
- Magnetic levitation in viscous fluids
- Evaporation of water due to height difference
- Faraday waves in floating drops
- Chromatic aberration of lenses
- Examination of the Flettner rotor
- Magnetohydrodynamic drive
- Electric motor and generator
- Bell's inequality
- Maxwell wheel on the scale
- Bell's inequality
- Maxwell wheel on the scale
- High voltage water bridge
- Luminosity of matter
- Cappuccino effect
- Siren disc
Students will present their findings on 12/07/2013 from 12 to 1 pm in the open space in NB South 03. All interested parties are welcome to attend the poster session.
