    The Service Centre for Physics (hereinafter: SZP) is an overarching communication platform of the Institutes for Experimental Physics, for Theoretical Physics and for Astronomy of the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum for the conception and implementation of courses (lectures and exercises) in physics for degree programmes of other faculties of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum.

    1. Physics for engineering sciences (mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering and information technology);
    2. Physics for natural sciences (chemistry, biology, earth sciences);
    3. Physics for medicine

    Members of the SZP are the professors and research assistants employed at the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy who are involved in courses for minor subjects. The SZP has the following tasks:

    1. Designing the content of individual courses in physics for degree programmes of other faculties in consultation with representatives of the faculties concerned;
    2. Continuous and demand-oriented further development of the range of lectures in physics for degree programmes of other faculties;
    3. Coordinating and ensuring the long-term export of teaching.
