Physics colloquium on April 28: Helmut Koch memorial colloquium

On Monday, April 28, 2025, at 12:00 c.t., the next date of our physics colloquium will take place.

The event is a memorial colloquium for Prof. Dr. Helmut Koch, who passed away almost a year ago.

Helmut Koch was an enthusiastic Hadron Physicist, who was well known for his contributions to CERN and SLAC experiments. He joined theRuhr-University Bochum in 1990 as Chair of Experimental Physics I, a position that he kept until his retirement in 2006. Many students perceived him as engaged teacher and mentor and will keep his memory alive. This colloquium will give some memories as perceived by individuals who worked with him.
