On January 10, 2023, the new doctoral regulations went into effect.
The doctoral regulations apply to all new doctoral candidates who have started their doctoral studies after January 10, 2023. Candidates who have already been accepted as doctoral candidates at the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy before January 10, 2023, may complete the doctorate according to the old regulations of 2011.
Important information for doctoral students
Before starting the doctorate:
- Conclude the supervision agreement(supervision agreement)
- Apply for authorization(Merblatt 1)
During the doctorate:
- Attend courses and provide proof ofattendance (proof of courses)
- Report annually(confirmation of reporting obligation)
- If applicable, apply for cumulative dissertation(information sheet 2)
When the dissertation is finished:
- Applying for admission to the doctoral procedure(information sheet 3)
