Workshop: Mental Health - Challenges & Coping Strategies

06.11.24 | Internal events, Uncategorized

A Master's degree, doctorate or postdoc brings new challenges: tasks become more complex and results are less clear, the demands on independence and self-management increase considerably, one's own career plans can be uncertain, etc. This holds potential for growth, but can also be intimidating or stressful.

Katharina Ortmanns and Jacqueline Schirmer, psychotherapists and psychological counselors at the University of Cologne, will shed light on these topics and present facts and figures from current international studies. The aim is to raise awareness of psychological challenges in the working environment and to provide strategies for coping with problems.

The workshop is aimed at Master's students, doctoral candidates and postdocs, students in lower semesters and managers from our faculty. Participation is free of charge and no registration is required. The workshop will be held in English.

When? Wednesday, November 20, 2:30-5 p.m.
Where? Lecture hall HNB
